A short film by Charlie von Rotberg, the Camberwell College of Arts student. I wildly love the soundtrack, it makes me want to watch Baraka and Lynch’s movies over and over again.
'10,000 Miles From A Car Window' is an observational film of a 10,000 mile journey starting in the UK and ending in Mongolia. It was filmed on a Kodak Zi8 handheld pocket camera (about £100′s worth!), and most of the soundtrack was made from an amalgamation of sounds from the original footage. The film takes the viewer through 4 legs using sound and vision to create an immersive and hypnotic experience. We see drastic contrasts in pace, with emphasis on how calmness meets franeticness during the varying environments we are taken through on the journey.
